Villa Kantili is situated above the charming Cretan village of Aghia Pelaghi. With a commanding view of the village and its sweeping sandy beaches beyond, this villa rental in Greeceis within walking distance of the secluded Bay of Lygaria, and the tavernas and shops in the town. The villa is recently constructed using local materials, and is tastefully decorated in contemporary Greek style. Large windows are used throughout the villa to give the property a bright, sunny ambience and to take full advantage of the panoramic view.
The villa is built as two identical two-bedroom casas, Paliki and Lykaio, separated by a stone wall. Surrounded by a landscaped garden, each casa has a terrace with a furnished bar area that leads to the garden. In the garden you’ll find a private “plunge” pool, BBQ, deck chairs, and sum umbrellas. You can enjoy balmy summer evenings in the garden cooking on the BBQ as the sun sets and the lights appear in the tavernas below. On the upper balcony is a Jacuzzi where you can relax while enjoying the starlit evenings.
The casa can accommodate four people, with a double sofa bed the living room for up to two additional people.

Paliki is built on three floors. The entry leads into the main living area, located in the middle level. On one side is an eye-catching stone wall with a fireplace that divides the villa into two casas. Elements of the living area include an open beam ceiling, comfortable, stylish furniture, and floor-to-ceiling windows that give the space a sunny, bright ambience. Open to the living room is a dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped for all of your cooking needs including a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. The kitchen and all bathrooms are tiled. Adjacent to the kitchen is a laundry area with a washing machine, iron, and ironing board, and one shower bathroom.
Open stairs from the living area lead to the upper floor and the master bedroom. Here you’ll find wood floors, well-appointed furnishings, an ensuite shower bathroom, and a balcony with a Jacuzzi and a panoramic view over the sea. On the lower level is a second bedroom with two twin beds, and an ensuite shower bathroom. Access to the terrace and garden is from the lower level.
Villa Kantili is ideally located for quick access to the main road (Heraklion is a twenty-minute drive east, while the towns of Rethymnon, Hania, and Kastelli lie to the west), but is also within walking distance of two sandy beaches and the village of Aghia Pelaghia (which has numerous restaurants and shops.)
At the local tavernas, you can find food from around the world, but Cretan cuisine is distinct and delicious. In Cretan dishes you’ll find many local delicacies such as olives, olive oil, octopus, snails, herbs, goat cheese, yogurt, honey, nuts, and a variety of local fruits and vegetables. Local wine is produced all over the island, as is ouzo and raki.
Crete has something for everyone and the hospitality of its people is second to none. Its history dates back to before the Minoans and there is a wealth of historical and archaeological sites, monasteries and churches to visit. You can cycle, walk, horse-back ride, hike, sail, participate in a variety of water sports, or find an interesting excursion to join.
