Offer yourself a unique experience at Villa Ispica located in the heart of Ragusa Province near the UNESCO town of Modica. This 6 bedroom, 6 bathroom villa with private pool can accommodate up to 16 guests. You will find yourself in unique natural surrounding with the well-known Cava d'Ispica, a long rocky valley that preserves numerous archeological finds and many important Mediterranean flora and fauna.
Very close to Villa Ispica, it is possible to visit the prehistoric necropolis of Calicantone which dates back to the Bronze Age (2200-1400 B.C.) Here you will find hundreds of graves dug into the rock wall. This are can be reached by stairs from the villa.
The historic center of Modica is only 10 KM away and the nearest beach, Pozzallo, is only 15 Km away. From the villa it is easy to visit such charming baroque cities as Ragusa, Scicli and Noto. It is also easy to get to Siracusa and Catania by taking the highway.
In the beginning, Villa Ispica was a home for sharecroppers. In 2010 the villa was entirely restored using natural products from the area. On the main level there is a living room. There is also a and dining room which is connected to the fully equipped kitchen. From here you will have access to the swimming pool where there are sunbeds and lawn chairs for all guests. There is also a grassy area with solarium. On the ground floor you will find one of the 6 bedrooms which has a bathroom (Shower, wash basin, toilet), air conditioning, minibar, and TV.
There are 5 independent bedrooms on the second level. Each bedroom has its own private entrance, bathroom (with shower, washbasin, toilet and Bidet), air conditioning, minibar and LCD 26 TV. The rooms are not connected to each other.
Wi-Fi internet connection is included in the rental and can be found throughout the house.
Guests will enjoy all that the villa has to offer whether it is lounging by the pool, riding one of the bikes at the villa, exploring the area or just relaxing around a table with good friends and family. The historic center of Modica is 10Km away, the nearest restaurants and pizzerias are located 5 km from the house as well as a shopping center where you can find a supermarket and other shops.
It is also possible to arrange for Cooking lessons, massages, guided tours, baby-sitter and of course a cook. If you are planning a wedding, this is also possible at Villa Calicantone.
The new airport in Comiso (LICB) is only 45 KM from the villa. There are direct flights here from London Stansted, Brussels Charleroi, Frankfurt Hahn, Dublin, Rome Fiumicino, Rome Ciampino, Milano Linate, Turin, Malta and Pisa!
