Villa Crabbia is a charming 18th-century villa rental boasting a superb location with breathtaking views on beautiful Lake Orta, a small romantic lake in the Piedmont district of northern Italy, close to Lake Maggiore. The residence has been recently renovated with special care, especially in the intricate details defining old-world and modern styles. The villa\'s high standards and superb quality present this as the ideal place to spend a pleasant and memorable holiday in the spectacularly scenic Lake District of Italy. The residence is located in Crabbia, a small and quiet village at about four kilometers from Orta San Giulio. Its central location offers the guest an ideal point of departure for interesting day trips to nearby towns.

We hired out the whole residence for our wedding and it was spectacular. Elda and Valentina were really helpful throughout the whole process, recommending the caters (who were excellent), the hair dressers and help coordinating on the day. There is an extra charge to hold he wedding here, even if you've rented the whole villa, but it's worth it. My only small negative is that the music had to stop at 12.30 due to local regulations, but I expect the is the same for most venues nearby. This is our second return visit since our wedding and we are amazed by the beauty of the place each time we return. We are gradually sampling every restaurant in Orta and the vicinity. It's such a beautiful place to visit, with really great food. The Osteria San Martina has great food, cheese and service, and Il Cucchiaio Di Legno is definitely worth a visit.

It's hard to know where to start when it comes to describing this location. Lake Orta is one of Italy's best-kept secrets and the views over the lake from the Villa are simply spectacular - day & night!

We just returned from a couple weeks in Europe. Our final stay was at this fantastic Villa in Crabbia at Lake Orta. It is just a few minutes drive up the road from the famous & beautiful Orta San Giulio. The place is an old 18th c. villa that the family has been slowly restoring over the past decade, keeping part of it for themselves, and converting the rest into seven apartments .Elda, whose parents bought the villa decades ago, will personally greet you and show you all the wonderful nooks and crannies and things to be discovered. The apartments, each one different, are lovely, modern, clean and have access to garden space, incredible lake views, and many other benefits. The one bedroom apt. at the top would be a great honeymoon spot with views to die for. You can order fresh bread and brioche to be delivered to you daily and wine and jam from the wine cellar in the basement -- we did it every day! We ate our lunches out on the terrace, and had dinner next to a cozy fire in the kitchen. If you want to eat out, there is a good local restaurant around the corner where the chef Sebastiano will greet you personally, or you can go down the hill to Pettenasco for a few more options. We LOVED this place and felt we had a much better situation than staying in a hotel. I would return without hesitation, and would love to take a group and rent all seven apartments some day....highly recommended.
