Villa Chiara is a very exclusive villa in the Val D\'orcia countryside, just three kilometers from Pienza. The villa sleeps up to 14 guests and is perfect for a large group or families traveling together. It boasts two living rooms (one elegant and the other casual), each with fireplace, Satelite TV and comfortable furnishings, and two fully equipped kitchens (stove, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, utensils, coffee maker). The large swimming pool offers a covered area complete with two hydro massages. The outside portion is well-furnished with umbrellas, lounge chairs and sun beds. Surrounded by gardens and fruit trees, the property provides a perfect retreat from busy days of sightseeing.

Furnished in the traditional Tuscan style, Villa Chiara has been created in two fully functioning houses where you could spend a perfect holiday with family or friends without losing your coziness. Inside the this Tuscan-style home is a clever blend of innovative modern amenities and traditional accents, all with the intent of providing guests with the ultimate vacation experience. Outside, Villa Chiara offers you and your guests a beautiful indoor/outdoor swimming pool surrounded by the inspiring landscapes of Val D\'Orcia. The 24-meter pool includes six meters under cover, providing guests an opportunity for private time. The pool uses sodium chloride, which is suitable for the kids and also for people who have skin issues.

The large, Tuscan-style kitchen of Vill Chiara is fully-equipped (fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle) and is very user-friendly. As with all traditional Italian kitchens, it\'s a big place where you can easily cook with and for all your guests.

GROUND FLOOR:

A warm, big and romantic living room with a delightful fireplace and color-washed walls. There is a room called Cigno that can also be twin bedroom, with private bathroom and direct access to the pool. Also in the living room is are comfortable sofas and two beautiful armchairs.

SECOND FLOOR:

Upstairs features two spacious rooms; one with a double shower and one with a Jacuzzi tub. Each part of Villa Chiara has its own tuscan-style kitchen, fully furnished, its own big living room, a single bedroom and three double bedrooms. In each room of Villa Chiara you can find a piece of Tuscany.

OUTDOOR:

The Villa offers a dining terrace, barbecue, pool, ping pong table and an astonishing view of Val D\'Orcia hills. This venue is the perfect place to spend a perfect holiday with people you love.

Over the past four years, I have had the opportunity to spend holidays of a week or more at these lovely two villas in the most beautiful section of the Tuscan countryside, between the ancient village of Bagno Vignoni and the renaissance town of Pienza. The nearby fields and hills were used in breathtaking scenes from “Gladiator” and “The English Patient”.These ‘casali’ have been completely and tastefully restored by two wonderful sisters, Barbara and Serena.The villas are spectacular, with tremendous attention to detail, both practical and esthetic, that make one feel as if they were put together especially for them. The villas are divided into separate apartments that allow for any degree of privacy that is required, yet still have common areas large enough to accommodate everyone in a family or group of friends for meals and together time, both indoors and outdoors, whether preparing a meal or sharing a glass of wine while the sun goes down in the distance behind the wide expanse of sunflowers or poppies. Each has a swimming pool that allows a spacious, cool place to relax or exercise after a grueling day of wine tastings at nearby vineyards and sampling Tuscan specialties at family operated osterias. (The pool at the larger even has a private entrance from a bedroom onto the indoor section of the swimming pool!)The villas have been furnished with antiques and new pieces that blend together seamlessly to provide an understated elegance and comfort that still holds a sense of rustic Italian style with a hint of post-modernism. The Tuscans, at their core, are country people, farmers, and it was so nice to move into a beautiful and unique space that is true to the local tradition and not like it was furnished with Eastern European “new money”. Barbara and Serena epitomize that innate sense of style that Italians are famous for, and their homes look like scenes from a book entitled, “Tuscan Style” that makes NY Hamptons-style look a little ‘trailer park’. They exhibit a design ‘sprezzatura’ that is hard to find in other places.The beds are great, the linens are perfect, the bathrooms comfortable and spacious. The kitchen and laundry facilities are complete, clean and up-to-date. Wifi that works, isolation but proximity to great towns, and the main road to larger places of interest.I would whole-heartedly recommend these properties!
