Description
San Biagio Hills has recently expanded with the complete renovation of an on-site structure called Villa Edera. Erected in the 15th century, this beautiful villa consists of four splendid apartments, all furnished with pieces from the era. The apartments can be rented separately, or the villa in its entirety, sleeping up to 12-21 guests.
Villa Belle Vie Amour and its four houses (each one different from the other and all comfortably furnished), offers a shared pool with deck chairs, a hydromassage Jacuzzi for seven people and a small beautiful gym contained in a single vaulted cellar, equipped with brand new Technogym machines, corner bar, TV and Bose systems. Each apartment is unique with its own characteristics, but all reflect aspects imbedded in the vineyards and olive groves surrounding the area. The apartments have their own small private garden, equipped kitchens, LCD TV, A/C, linen and other courtesy services in the bathrooms furnished with marble and travertine of Carrara quarries.
Please note that Villa Belle Vie, the main villa on the estate and only 100 meters from Villa Belle Vie Amour, can accommodate another 14-15 guests. There is a total capacity for 36 guests on the estate. Please see the listing for Villa Belle Vie for details about the second villa.
Quattro: The largest of the four houses. On two levels, sleeps 4-7 guests in two spacious double bedrooms and two sofa beds (a double and a single). Well-equipped kitchen with antique fireplace, and two bathrooms with shower. Kitchen overlooks the pool area and the Tuscan hills beyond.
The territory of Carmignano is famous for being inhabited in ancient times by the Etruscans. A visit to the Museo di Artimino is a must-see to view the artifacts excavated at the nearby great burial mound (Comeana excavations). The hills around Carmignano are also famous for producing high quality wines and olive oil. Between the fifteenth and sixteenth century Cosimo the Elder and Lorenzo the Magnificent (of the famous Medici family) purchased different areas in the region, building the luxurious residence in Poggio a Caiano today known as Villa Medici, and later Villa of Artimino.
