Villa Barca is centrally located at Marina Grande, the main beach of Positano. From your doorstep, the fashionable and vibrant center of Positano is but a few steps away. Immerse yourself in the life of this charming and magical village; dine in gourmet restaurants and trendy seaside cafes, browse in designer clothing stores, admire the local art, or just go for a swim at the beach. Villa Barca is a spacious, independent house dating back to the 17th Century, spread over two levels and recently refurbished to a high standard. The owners have taken great care to add their personal touch and have decorated the villa in rich pastel tones and furnished it in an elegant Mediterranean fashion. There is a large terrace with an awning for shade, and plenty of garden furniture for dining or lounging. The terrace overlooks a lush garden adjacent to the villa.
An English speaking manager is on call. Electicity is included in the price. Not included in the price is heating, air conditioning (a flat fee of 80 euro/week), and a mandatory cleaning fee of 120 euros (which includes four hours of cleaning midweek). Porters are available upon request and payable locally.
Access to Villa Barca is via six steps from road level. From the main square of Positano it is an easy 300-meter walk. Entrance into the villa is through a patio, leading to a large and comfortably furnished living/dining area. Two French windows open to the terrace with a dining table for six. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a stove, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Also on this floor is a guest bathroom. A short flight of stairs leads up to the three bedrooms. One double bedroom includes a queen bed, ensuite shower room and French windows to a balcony. The second double bedroom has a queen bed and French windows out to a balcony. It shares a bathroom (with shower) with the third bedroom, which includes a set of bunk beds (not convertible).
Internal bus stop approx. 300 m from the house.
From the main road above the house a short bus ride (every 15/30 min) takes guests to the top of the village (La Sponda) from where the blue SITA buses leave regularly for Sorrento (30 min) or Amalfi (40 min).
To the right of the main beach numerous ferries and hydrofoils ply daily between Positano and Capri (50 min), Naples (50 min), Amalfi (30 min) and Salerno (1/2 h).
Within few steps walk there is a variety of shops, bars, internationally known boutiques and various restaurants.
