Villa Arrabida\'s impressive and spacious entrance hall is made with regional stone and marble. The elegant and comfortable living area offers a sofa, chairs, a cozy fireplace and a billiards room. The large dining room seats 10 guests and has direct access out to the terrace. There is a small playroom for children (with videos) and a fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker) with breakfast table. The well-appointed master suite is located on the first floor and offers a king-size bed, office space, reading room, and ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and a sauna/Hammam. French doors lead outside to a private terrace furnished with table and chairs and overlooking the pool and garden. A perfect spot for breakfast! Upstairs are the three remaining bedrooms, all elegantly appointed and equipped with ensuite facilities. The villa sleeps eight with two additional guests on a sofabed located in the office.
The Arrabida Natural Park is notable for its predominantly Mediterranean vegetation, including some unique species. The environmental wealth of the area stretches out into the sea, where a marine reserve has been created with a great profusion of fish, sea urchins, starfish and sponges. Its coast is a jagged outline of rocky outcrops and sandy beaches, the highlight of which is the beach of Portinho da Arrabida. Situated between the mountain range\'s highest point and the sea, this is a sheltered beach of white sand. In front of the beach is the small rocky island known as Pedra da Anixa, a very popular place amongst diving enthusiasts.
In the heart of the Arrabida Natural Park is a Franciscan monastery, built in an isolated spot on the mountain slopes. It consists of a series of cells, with a church and other monastic buildings, which create the appearance of a village. Built in 1524, this monastery has been restored with great care. On the mountain slopes, you will also find chapels that were used as shelters by the first friars.
