Description
Situated on the furthermost point of the peninsula, and within walking distance from the village of Massa Lubrense , Villa Affresco is nestled in one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of the Sorrento coast. From every window, balcony, and terrace one is greeted by the enchanting vision of the jeweled islands of the Mediterranean; Capri, Ischia, Marina della Lobra, and Vesuvius.
The 17th century, historic villa combines elegance and class with serenity and harmony. Combined, these characteristics enable the visitor to experience a truly memorable luxury vacation. The rooms, each with a discreet and original charm, are stylishly decorated for an old-world ambiance, and have marvelous views over Capri. Out of respect for the villa\'s historical architectural integrity, the bathrooms, also decorated in an old-world style, are outside the rooms except on the ground floor suite.
Particularly noteworthy is the \"Murat Suite,\" where the King of Naples, Joachim Murat, stayed in 1808 during the French fighting to recapture Capri, and which today still has the original decoration, frescoes and terracotta flooring.
The pool overlooks the Gulf of Naples and is situated in a secluded corner of the villa\'s soothing, Mediterranean gardens. From here, serenity and privacy go hand in hand. The pool and garden areas are like a living, open-air lounge. Equipped with wrought iron tables and chairs, hammocks and swings, this is the ideal place to relax and be revitalized.

Ground Floor: From the limestone entrance, one enters through the 16th century doorway into a paved stone hall. The hall to the right is reserved for the staff of the villa. On the left is a double sitting room, a bathroom, a panoramic loggia and three steps down, a triple bedroom (king bed plus single bed) with ensuite bathroom (shower), and access to the panoramic terrace, perfect for moments of relaxation.
First Floor: The rooms on this floor are steeped in history. There are four double bedrooms and two comfortable bathrooms. The bedrooms exude charm and style and are decorated with elaborate frescos. There is also a breakfast room and a fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker) with direct access to the large, furnished terrace with unsurpassed views of Capri, Ischia, Marina della Lobra e del Golfo di Napoli. The kitchen is built using typical glazed ceramics from the 19th century, primarily in azure blue and decorated with charming motifs typical of the Sorrentine Peninsula. The period wood fireplaces leave an unforgettable sensation of stepping back in time. The kitchen has been adapted to include all modern fittings. All the areas have windows or balconies, which give a sense of being suspended above the sea.
