Cottage Giardino is one of four homes available for rent in this beautiful and peaceful country setting. Conveniently located just 30 miles from bustling Rome, Ronciglione is a delightful little town and offers all the essential services; restaurants, cafes, shops, bars, clubs, etc. Cottage Giardino is a 19th century home situated in the heart of the gardens and has been recently renovated with care and a touch of flair; 18th century furniture and paintings adorn the rooms throughout the cottage. And for added entertainment, there is a billiards room and use of a swimming pool. This home is perfect for a large family, or a group of friends on holiday together. If extra room is needed, Cottage Giardino can be rented together with the nearby Casa Giardino (sleeping up to sventeen guests) for $6400 low season or $10,700 high season. Please inquire at time of booking for details.
Located next to Casa Giardino, the cottage offers the same level of comfort, but on a smaller scale. The cozy living room is filled with paintings of famous artists and antique furniture. The nicely equipped kitchen includes a stove, oven, fridge/freezer and washing machine. There are two sizable bedrooms with double beds and a charming single room awash in bright hues. All the bedrooms have views out onto the lovely garden. An extra bed is available in the sitting/family room and there are two full bathrooms. Activities include a billiards room and use of the cypress-encircled Olympic pool.
Cottage Giardino is part of a large country estate owned by an Italian family whose pride in ownership is abundant. The well-maintained grounds offer centuries old chestnut groves, historic gardens, pine-scented woods, exotic Mediterranean flora, beautiful and serene waterfall fountains, a grotto, and even a columned Nympheum. Offering miles of trekking paths in its Etruscan ravines and canyons is the nearby Lago di Vico (Lake Vico), a volcanic lake named after the local dominant Vico family of ancient times. Additional activities in the vicinity include sailing, horseback riding, biking, rafting and exploring the nearby Etruscan, Roman and Renaissance archaeological sites.
