Les deux Bastides is nestled in the village of Les Taillades, in the heart of Provence, and only 700 meters from cafes and boulangeries. This ancient village and its\' beautiful surrounding area inspired such authors as Jean Giono and Marcel Pagnol. Must-see towns such as Aix en Provence, St. Remy and Gordes are just a short drive away. This fully-renovated 18th century property consists of two independent houses, each with privacy and situated in a magnificent park filled with trees. Up to 18 guests can comfortably stay in these two houses that are 30 meters apart. It is a perfect property for a large family gathering; thair cone two houses let families spread out and enjoy privacy while at the same time gather as a group around the saltwater pool, or enjoy a meal together. The homes are both tastefully decorated and enhanced with typical Provencal materials such as stone, wrought-iron, tiles and wood beams.
The first of the two houses is very spacious and has four bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms, for a total of eight guests. Six guests will find the second house very comfortable with its three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. This house offers a private terrace and parking area as well. Both homes offer lovely Provencal kitchens and spacious, comfortable living areas.

MAIN VILLA
The main house at Les deux Bastides faces South, perfect for enjoying the sunshine of Provence. This house for eight guests has a large garden and private parking. Much care and detail has been given to the decorations in this lovely home. The colors of Provence prevail in the comfortable and spacious living room/dining room. The upholstery, wrought-iron, wood beams and tile floors will charm you. The television, telephone and high speed Internet access are all in the living room. The formal dining area is connected to the living area. It is possible to seat 18 guests inside or outside in this house. Off of the living room is a beautiful fully-equipped Provencal kitchen (American fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher, and microwave) with a table for six.
FIRST FLOOR
Up the stairs from the living room are four bedrooms, all with views of the garden. The two very spacious master bedrooms offer King beds, ensuite bathroom (bathtub, shower, double basin sink, separate toilet), and access to the mezzanine with its wrought-iron railing. Each mezzanine is spacious and has a double bed to potentially accommodate up to 18 people. The third bedroom has Queen bed and ensuite bathroom with shower and sink, and the fourth bedroom has a Queen bed and ensuite bathroom with shower and sink. These two rooms share a separate half bath that is located in the hallway. There is also a sitting area for these two rooms with couch and chairs. All of the bedrooms are furnished with antiques and touches of Provence.
This house also has a laundry room with washer and dryer as well as a storage area for your use.
VILLA DEUX
The second house faces west and was once a stable. Today it is lovely and completely renovated and can sleep six guests. The living room consists of a leather sofa and two armchairs with a coffee table and electric fireplace. A dining area adjoins the living room. The satellite TV and telehone are also in this room. French doors open up onto an outside terrace with wrought-iron table and chairs for 6, plus BBQ. The fully-equipped kitchen (fridge/freezer, oven, gas & electric stove, microwave, coffee maker, food processor) is located off of the living/dining area and includes a breakfast table. All three double bedrooms have a view of the park. The first bedroom has two twin beds with remote control. The second bedroom also has two twin beds and ensuite bathroom with tub and wash basin. The half bath is separate. Finally, the third bedroom has a double bed with a private bath with tub and wash basin. An iron and ironing board, hairdryer, vacuum cleaner and washer complete this charming house.
Maid service is available upon request. If you don't feel like cooking or even shopping, it is possible to arrange for a cook to do all of or just some of your meals. Please inquire for this service. The two houses will enjoy the saltwater pool with its lounge chairs and parasols.
