The rooms formerly occupied by the monks have been transformed into apartments: Il convento, l'Abbazia and Monastero- each with a unique décor that combines classic and rustic furnishings. A little chapel is available for weddings. A large pool completes the property and from the pool area you will enjoy the peaceful view over vineyards with Siena in the distance.
The apartments are available from May to October, with winter weeks only on request. Please note that this historic landmark cannot accept children under 10 years of age. A washing machine is available on request. Surrounded by vineyards and fields, the estate is a working farm and winery with many historic sites and wineries nearby in this famous Chianti Classico region. Siena is just 12 km away which is visible from the pool area. Florence and Arezzo are both about 70 km. For a large group, you have the nice option of renting l'Abbazia + Il Monastero+ Il Convento to sleep up to 8 people comfortably.
L'Abbazia is a delightful apartment once connected to the chapel. Hints of its medieval history can be seen in the tapestries, stonework, and heavy wooden furniture. Seating areas are clustered around the open dining area and kitchen. One bedroom has two separate twin beds next to the stone tower wall and an adjacent full bath with shower. The other one has a queen bed and vaulted brick ceiling. This bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom with shower. Hairdyers are provided. Phone available in the owner's office.
