Collicello Estate consists of two charming, traditional country homes located in the beautiful, rolling hills of Umbria. The Casas have been carefully refurbished in a comfortable, country style with all modern amenities. Situated on 12 acres, Collicello Estate provides the perfect rural retreat and offers paths for hiking, biking, and exploring. Also available to guests are a swimming pool (open June through September), barbecue area for al fresco dining, a ping-pong table, mountain bikes, a soccer field, and even a tree house for children. The small village of Collicello is within easy walking distance, and further a field are larger towns for all essential shopping needs. A detached apartment is available for extra guests (for additional cost) and includes a large, double bedroom with private bathroom with shower.

Collicello Estate sleeps up to 16 guests in two lovely properties. Casa 1 features a large, sunny, open-plan living area with beamed ceilings, tilde floors, comfortable sofa and chairs, fireplace, dining table for eight, and well-equipped kitchen (oven, stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker). The three double bedrooms are nicely appointed and share a full bathroom with bathtub. For staying in shape while on vacation, there is a well-equipped gym room, and a full soccer field. Two outside terraces (one covered) provide perfect venues for enjoying an after-dinner aperitif and lively conversation. Casa 2 consists of three floors, all recently renovated with authentic details. The lower floor consists of a large, tiled living area with fireplace and comfortable furniture, dining room, double bedroom (with twin beds), bathroom with shower, and a well-equipped kitchen (stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker). The second floor offers two double bedrooms sharing a bathroom with bathtub. The top floor consists of a family/media room offering a home theater system (DVD and CD players) with divans, and the fourth double bedroom.
Dotted with medieval towns and silent hermitages, the Umbrian hills have just as much to offer as other regions that may be more famous. In Umbria you need only travel a few kilometers to discover places of unspoild wilderness, with centuries-old beech woods, deep caves, and mountains populated by ancient legends. And Umbria is also rich in water: it rises in springs and mountain lakes, runs in rivers that carve impressive rocky gorges, and broadens out into wetlands and man-made lakes that are magically transformed into nature reserves. Lake Trasimeno, the gentle fl owing of the Tiber, and the leaping falls of the Cascata delle Marmore all seem to have been created intentionally to inspire poets and painters. At the end of the journey, one thing is certain: Umbria has a true vocation for beauty. Umbria today, reinventing itself fashionable but without overdoing it, has much to offer visitors: sport, culture, museums, epicurean delights, healing waters, and musical events of international renown.
