Chateau Visconti is located in the Dordogne near the town of Ribérac. This beautiful Chateau has been cared for by its owners who have done everything they could think of to make your stay at the chateau one to remember forever. Most guests arrive and never leave the Chateau for the week as there is plenty for all to do right at the property or nearby. Chateau Visconti is a gated and walled secure property, as is the pool. The chateau has a dreamy quality that resonates throughout the house, out through the large oak doors into the beautifully landscaped gardens with a large lawn and play area for children. The estate is a perfect venue for a memorable family holiday.

There is a heated, walled pool and terrace attached to the house, with a lockable gate for complete privacy and, most importantly, for the security of tiny tots and small children. The pergola in front of the pool offers a furnished dining area and a complete sound system for meals al fresco.
LIVING AREAS: Chateau Visonti's living/drawing room is particularly elegant and is next to both the music room/library and the children’s sitting/playroom. A splendid evening can be passed in the drawing room perhaps playing cards and/or listening to music or reading a book. Having this proximity with the family room enables the adults to closely monitor their children while spending quality adult time together. The maid is also available for babysitting (please inquire for rates).
BEDROOMS: Upstairs there 4 bedrooms. All are situated along the main corridor that runs length of the chateau. Three double rooms are all ensuite and the fourth bedroom has twin beds (Queen on request) with a separate bathroom with toilet. All beds have orthopedic mattresses ensuring a good night\'s sleep. In addition, there are numerous cots at the house and these can be placed where and when required, and there is also a mobile play pen that can be used for afternoon naps or play time for a tiny tot. In fact, the chateau has numerous facilities for tiny babies and tots if required, including high chairs, booster seats, prams, changing facilities, children’s cutlery/plastic plates, sterilizer, potties, toys, books, films, stair gates, baby alarms, pool accessories, etc. Please specify what is needed when making your booking.

The facilities & activities for adults and children at the chateau area second to none. The grounds of the Chateau are large enough for children to play and explore for hours leaving the adults to relax with a glass of wine. The pool is gated and lockable and the grounds themselves are secured so children can roam freely. Children's activities include a huge trampoline, heated pool, children’s play areas with swings and tires on trees gardens to explore, a magic grand piano, extensive dress-up options, and a relaxing room with a large range of DVDs. Dinner times are left to the discretion of the group and the flexibility of food means the children can lose themselves in play. There is an open-air or covered table tennis table or a game of badminton, great for those in between eating and swimming pool times.
For adults the estate offers beautiful gardens tended by the gardener, numerous sun loungers, chairs, a variety of well-placed hammocks, covered table tennis and badminton, and plenty of space to roam around. Within a five-minutes\' walk are tennis courts, restaurants, bars and cafes. Also available are wine tasting opportunities, history excursions (lots of chateaux, caves and fortified towns to explore), bustling markets (plenty to choose from; Riberac market is one of the biggest markets in the Dordogne), horseback riding, golf, hot air ballooning, canoeing and boat trips, bicycling (the chateau has numerous bikes but further bikes can be rented locally), day trips to Bordeaux, Sarlat or Perigueux and numerous picturesque town and villages in the Dordogne, and cooking classes for children or adults.
20 minutes away is the beautiful white sandy beach of Lake Jamaye, which is a wonderful day out for the children and parents along with a fully prepared picnic from the chef. Or perhaps a morning at the beach followed by lunch at the house and a relaxing afternoon by the pool.
