On the 1st floor, at the top of chateau grand staircase from which it is accessed by an airlock, this room of Château Francais is the quintessence of the intimate Louis XV style and yet open to nature.

Very bright, the bedroom includes an alcove bed and numerous oil paintings on canvas integrated into the paneling which, in a relatively naive 18th century style, represent the judgment of King Solomon. Adelaide’s room is served by a bathroom, shared with the adjoining “pink room” and lit by a generous bay looking to the south-east.

The “Pink bedroom”, all in pale salmon-colored fabrics, has a generous canopy embroidered with flowers under which one likes to take refuge. Its medieval mullioned bay observes the village to the south-east. The French-style beamed ceiling reminds us that this room is located in the gothic building of Château Francais.

It is accessed on the 1st floor by the grand 18th century staircase coiled into the entrance of the castle. The pink bedroom is served by a bathroom, shared with the adjoining “Adelaide’s bedroom” and lit by a generous bay looking to the south-east.

Wedding & Reception at Château Francais

Château Francais offers an exceptional setting for weddings and events. The total number in residence remains limited to 20, however all events can be set outside in the « cour d’honneur » and in the upper courtyard where 100 to 200 people can fit easily, while dinner can be served under marquees in the upper courtyard for 80 to 100 guests. A dance floor can be installed as well under the marquees.

Starting mid-2016, the 18th century vaulted « grandes cuisines » will be as well in the château basements for your events.

Please note that for all events requiring marquees and special arrangement, we require the services of a wedding planner to coordinate all details. Some British wedding planners who live in the area know Château Francaisvery well and we can establish contact on request.

Supplement

For weddings and other large reunions, our personnel contributes generously to the coordination and preparation of the settings, to the on-going cleaning during the event to keep the place neat, as well as to the general cleaning that follows. To cover this and the additional wear and tear generated by these events, a supplement of 800 euro is charged in addition to the weekly rental price.

During high-season, we unfortunately cannot consider any fractional rental around a weekend, and must stick to the full weekly rental Saturday to Saturday. There is no limit to the number of weeks that can be rented next to each other. During medium and low seasons, a reduced period built around a long weekend can be considered.
