Casa Vettica is part of a small hamlet of old houses recently converted into delightful holiday apartments. Set amongst verdant green hills, with wide views over the sea and the surrounding countryside of vineyards and lemon groves, the home is a very peaceful and inhabits a quiet position. The area is delightful, with many small hamlets, churches and other places of historic interest to discover. The building is situated on the edge of the pretty hamlet of Vettica, just a little over three kilometer from Amalfi, which can easily be reached in 10 minutes using the public transport system.
The house has been carefully restored throughout and offers the guest a spacious and stylish accommodation, harmoniously blending the new design within the context of an old house that retains the original, high-vaulted ceilings and spacious rooms. The rooms have original Majolica tile flooring and are comfortably furnished with a good combination of antique furniture and modern pieces. Bathrooms are spacious, modern and newly fitted.
Casa Vettica is situated above another rental property, however, it is completely independent with its own entrance and spacious terraces. There are 35 stone steps from the street level to the apartment.
A car is not necessary here as public transport is very good. There is a bus stop with a regular service to Amalfi just 50 meters from the property, which makeS it easy and cheap to travel around the area. However, if you do have a car, you can park it in a private lot close to the stairs to the house, at a cost of 15 euro/day (reservation required at time of booking).
Casa Vettica is approx. 70 sq. meters. The entrance leads into an open-plan living/sitting room with hand-made Majolica tiles. The ceiling is high and vaulted, the furnishings are elegant and refined and include a sofa and two armchairs, a dining table, a flat-screen Satellite TV, and an air conditioning/heating unit. From the living room is direct access out on to the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi. The terrace is equipped with a table, chairs and sun loungers. On the terrace there is also a utility room with washing machine. On one side of the living room three steps lead to the nicely equipped kitchen (four-burner gas cooker, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Italian-style coffee maker-maker, and an American-style coffee maker). From the kitchen are two spacious bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms. (Please note, the first bedroom is a pass-through room: members of your party might need to walk through this bedroom to reach the second bedroom. However, both bedrooms are also directly connected to the terrace by a glass door, and guests can avoid going through the first bedroom by entering the second bedroom from the terrace.) The two bedrooms are very spacious, with high and vaulted ceilings, elegant and refined furnishings and hand-made Majolica tile flooring. Each double bedroom has a flat-screen Satellite TV, a set of French doors connecting to the terrace, an air conditioning/heating unit and an en-suite bathroom, equipped with washbasin, toilet, fully enclosed shower, and hairdryer.

Access to Casa Vettica from street level is via a 40 meter public walkway that includes approximately 35 stairway steps.
The center of Amalfi is 3.5 km away and provides for all essentials (cafes, very well-known restaurants, specialty food shops, banks, post office, etc). Also in Amalfi is the quay to board ferries or rent boats to visit the coast from the sea and reach Positano, Capri, Sorrento, Ischia, Naples and Salerno.
SITA Bus stop to Amalfi town center is just near the steps leading down to the house. SITA Bus stop to Ravello, Minori, Salerno, Positano, Sorrento, etc. is in Amalfi town center.
300 meters from the apartment guests can find good food, a fruit stand and tobacco shop. Ravello 8 Km, Sorrento 38 Km, Salerno 30 Km, Positano 20 Km.
