From the quays of the Tagus to the Avenue de la Liberté, you will find most of the historical monuments, but also cafés, restaurants and pretty squares, all in a picturesque and sunny atmosphere.
To enjoy an incredible view of Baixa, venture onto the terrace of the Arc de Triomphe in Via Augusta. The sky and the Tagus merge in the distance, forming voluptuous blue tones. You can access it by walking around the commercial square, surrounded by symmetrical buildings of saffron yellow, which recalls the warmth of this Mediterranean city.
One of the highlights of Lisbon is a glass of Ginjinha, a delicious and sweet ginja liqueur made from cherries. You will find it in all bars, but it flows freely in authentic establishments called \"Ginjinhas\".
Rossio Square is a famous transit place in Lisbon; tourists and Lisbonites stroll around it next to the two magnificent Baroque fountains in its center. The square is decorated with cafés, including the oldest and most emblematic of Lisbon such as Café Nicola where you can refresh yourself in its artistic setting.
For a journey through time and space, our suggestion is to take a ride in the Santa Justa elevator, one of Baixa\'s most famous historical monuments. Its neo-gothic structure and elegant wooden cabins will transport you from Rua do Ouro to Largo do Carmo.
Casa do Alentejo is an unusual and surprising place with a wonderful setting, decorated with Moorish decoration, a patio and azulejos. This peaceful haven is ideal for a drink in the early evening.
