Description
Flamboyant, theatrical and one of a kind - a superbly presented 4 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment sleeping 7 in style amidst the buzz of San Marco.
Furnished throughout with charm and originality and a beautiful ‘altana’ rooftop terrace for taking in the views, Apartment Bridge of Sighs comprises spacious and intriguingly decorated accommodation. Laid out over six floors, the apartment is entered via its own private entrance on the ‘calle’ which leads to a stylish monochrome hallway - a little taste of things to come! - with a separate handy cloakroom for storage beyond.
A staircase takes you to the first floor which is made up of an inner hallway resplendent in duck egg blue and illuminated by the beautiful patterns cast by a sparkling Edwardian-style crystal chandelier, a bright and simply equipped (yet quite grandly decorated) kitchen/dining room, and a splendid beamed and air-conditioned sitting room enjoying entertaining views over the lively Campo San Filippo e Giacomo below and where rich luxurious furnishings and carpeting, interesting artwork and thoughtful finishing touches blend harmoniously to create an atmosphere of taste and individuality.
Sleeping accommodation on this first floor comprises an elegant double bedroom dressed in attractive warm yellow tones, and a dove grey beauty of a single with day bed and interesting wall prints - both have air-conditioning and share a striking black and white deco-style bathroom with shower. A (fairly steep) lantern-lit and star-embellished stairway then rises to the floor above which in turn is home to a charming little beamed study/sitting area with desk and armchairs, a second air-conditioned beamed double bedroom again in soothing duck egg blue, and a separate white tiled bathroom with bathtub.
A further staircase leads to the apartment\'s fourth bedroom - a chic and very cozy top-of the-house haven with air-conditioning, beautiful beams, a Toile de Jouy bed and steps leading up to the apartment’s furnished ‘altana’ rooftop terrace* offering a view of the campo, St. Mark’s Campanile and the silvery domes of the Basilica.
