Villa Montisi is located in the heart of a typically Tuscan landscape nearby Montisi, an hour’s drive from Florence and 45 minutes from Siena and Perugia. The house stands on a plot of approximately 2500 sqm. It’s 160 square meters and laid out on two floors; can accommodate up to eight guests in 4 bedrooms.
The setting of the villa is private with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. This is the perfect place to enjoy life and just relax for a while!
Villa Montisi consists of the following on the ground floor: living room with seating and dining area and fireplace, open kitchen, a twin bedroom, bathroom with shower and toilet, separate toilet, scullery with washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, espresso coffee machine, oven and microwave and extra refrigerator with freezer. On the first floor guests will find: a bedroom with a double bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet; 2 twin bedrooms; a bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet.
The house is fully equipped. It features a kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Villa Montisi is on a small hill and is surrounded by a beautiful view. On a clear day you can even see the Monte Amiata. Furthermore you can enjoy the deers, foxes and pheasants in the field and you have a view of the sheep on the local farms. The landscape is ever changing and will be sure to surprise you. Young green fields in the spring, to yellow, threshed fields with straw bales, to the gray, plowed fields after summer. The area has everything to make it a cultural, culinary vacation to relax.
The famous wine towns of Montepulciano and Montalcino are within a 30-minute drive and Pienza, the site of the Pecorino cheese is fifteen minutes away. Large cities such as Siena, Florence, Perugia and Rome are t between 45 minutes and 2.5 hours drive. The sea is one hour away. In the summer, there are many local festivals which place, such as the Giostra di Simone in August in Montisi.
After a day of culture you can cool off in the pool (5 x 10m,140 cm deep) or relax in one of the lounge chairs in the garden. A visit to Villa Amiata in the spring or autumn is recommended. The area offers many cultural and culinary activities such as the olive harvest festivals in October and truffle festivals in November, which are well worth a visit. For golf lovers, there are two golf courses a half an hour drive away.
