Description
This charming stone cottage is immersed in the heart of the beautiful Chianti region, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and mature trees.
The property enjoys beautiful views of the valley of the Arbia torrent and the distant appenines.
Completely independent and private, the building consists of a preexisting stone barn and an addition from the 70’s which both have been recently and lovingly restored by its English/Italian owners.
The top floor of the house is entered from the upper entrance. This level features a bright double bedroom and ensuite bathroom with tub. A flight of stairs leads down the original restored barn which has a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower. On the ground floor there is a cozy living-room with TV. From the living room, French doors open up to the garden and pool area. Up two steps is the kitchen and dining area (oven, stove, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, toaster and microwave). Next to the kitchen is a laundry-room with a washing machine, sink, iron and hoover.
The house is organized for outdoors summer living with a pergola-shaded terrace for eating out (6 chairs and table) overlooking the pool (5 x 9, depth 1.30/2.10) with its own solarium and deck chairs.
The house is reached by its private access road, 100 meters of which are unpaved and on a slight uphill slope, suitable for normal vehicles but less so for low-clearance sports cars.
Vagliagli, the nearest village located three kilometers away, offers a restaurant, bar, grocery shop, post office, etc.
Siena (14km) and Firenze are within convenient driving distance, as well as many of the most traditional and some of the best-known Tuscan villages, such as Castellina, Radda, Greve, Gaiole.
