Lucca hosts the Lucca Summer Festival each year which, in July 2006, saw the likes of Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Tracy Chapman and Santana play live in a setting rich with history and beauty. The 2011 lineup includes Elton John, James Blunt, Amy Winehouse, Arcade Fire, Joe Cocker and BB King. Concerts take place in the Piazza Napoleone, located within the city walls, in the old town center.
