Description
Dating back to the 18th century, Villa Ella was built by an ancestor of the current owner as a quiet holiday home, offering an escape from the noise and chaos of the nearby cities. The home can accommodate six guests in three cozy bedrooms and four bathrooms. The villa is surrounded by lush vegetation in varying shades of green, including an elegant lawn and a great variety of plants and flowers. A venture on a small path into the adjacent woods consisting of pine trees and enormous chestnut and oak trees, leads to a stream and a refreshing waterfall. The pool area offers a large, lovely pool (open June through September) with shower and dressing room, a shady pergola covered by grape vines, table and chairs for al fresco dining, a barbecue, and a wood-burning pizza oven.
Villa Ella is only a few minutes\' drive to the most famous places in Tuscany: 8 min. by car to Lucca, 35 min. to the beaches of Versilia, 1 hour to Florence and Pisa, 1.25 hour to Portofino. Two airports are at less than 1 hour: Florence 50 min. and Pisa 30 min.
The villa is approx. 250 sq. meters (2690 sq. ft.) and consists of two levels. The large, thick stone walls protect the interior against the heat during the Summer and the cold during the Winter.
Ground Level: A cozy and large living room divided in two parts, each with a fireplace, sofas and comfortable furnishings in a typically classic Tuscan style. A flat screen Satellite TV is in the living room as well. The large kitchen is well-equipped and includes an eating table for six guests, gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher, espresso coffee machine, all utensils. Close to the kitchen is a laundry room with a washing machine and a fridge. Accessed from the kitchen and living room is a winter garden veranda, heated during the cold season and equipped with a dining table seating up 12 guests.
First Floor: A master bedroom with a canopy bed, a TV and en-suite bathroom with bathtub, a double bedroom with en-suite bath, and a twin bedroom with a private bath with a shower. All the furnishings are authentic antiques, and combined with the wooden ceiling beams, terracotta flooring, soft pastel tones and numerous windows, helps establish Villa Ella as a home away from home.
