Casa Catania is a lovely residence offering four individual, comfortable apartments* situated on a mid-hill position close to Aci Castello, a charming town on the eastern coast of Sicily. This complex, dating back to the early 19th century, has been carefully brought back to life and transformed into a relaxing oasis thanks to the loving touch of its owner. Superbly designed and finished to provide guests with all the comforts of modern living in a warm atmosphere, the apartments have been stylishly furnished with select antiques, fine fabrics and local materials such as lava stone, ceramic and terracotta tiles. Each apartment has its own separate covered terrace or small garden area for outdoor living. The shared pool offers panoramic views and is the perfect spot to relax or just enjoy the beautiful scenery. The owner lives on site and is available to offer assistance to guests during their stay. For those who visit for the first time, this enchanting stretch of coast - mentioned even in Homer’s Odyssey as “Riviera of the Cyclops” - offers a wealth of varied landscapes and places to discover, such as the picturesque fishing villages of Aci Castello, Aci Trezza, Santa Maria la Scala and Santa Tecla with the ever-present Mount Etna in the background.

Within walking distance are a restaurant (800 meters), grocery (2 km), and additional facilities (shops, banks, cafes, restaurants - 2 km). The nearest beach (rocky) is two km away. The nearest sandy beach is 14 km away in Catania.
Casa Catania I is approx. 60 sq. meters. This ground floor apartment features a comfortable living/dining area, chair, TV, and dining table for six. guests. The well-equipped open kitchen offers fridge/freezer, dishwasher, gas stove, oven, toaster and all utensils. The double bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan. There is one bathroom with shower. The smaller bedroom has bunk beds. There is A/C in the bedrooms and there is Wi-Fi Internet. Outside is a large, covered terrace with patio furniture and a small garden. The shared pool is open year-round from 9:00 - 19:00.
Acireale is an ancient, thermal small town situated on the eastern coast of Sicily, 20 Km to the north of Catania. Its history is characterized by the earthquakes and the eruptions of Mt. Etna that, several times, have upset the order of the territory. The last reconstruction - after the earthquake in the 1693 - resulted in the splendid Baroque look that made Acireale one of the most beautiful towns in Sicily. Worth visiting are: San Sebastian Church, the Zelantea art gallery, the theater of the Puppets Opera, and the Cathedral square with its enchanting Baroque scenery. Also worth seeing is the Carnival that, with its allegorical floats of papier-mâché, attracts visitors from all the world. The surrounding area offers volcanic landscapes, quaint fishing villages such as Santa Tecla, Stazzo, and Santa Maria la Scala.
