Villa Pozzallo is a beautiful seafront villa set just a stone’s throw away from the wide sandy beach of Marina di Modica, a well-known seaside resort on Sicily’s south coast. Its ideal location makes it easy to visit many of the Val di Noto\'s charming baroque towns such as Scicli, Ragusa-Ibla, Noto and Siracusa, and beautiful coastal villages such as Sampieri, Pozzallo and Marzamemi. Also within easy reach are some of the island\'s greatest natural beauties, such as Capo Passero and the Vendicari Nature Reserve. The villa, surrounded by its well-kept garden with lawn, is enhanced by its unique architecture and wide, equipped terraces from where one can enjoy the lovely sea views. Its cozy interiors, which open onto the terraces, are furnished with care and have all modern conveniences, including air conditioning. Tastefully decorated in cool whites and soothing blues, the modern living room, as well as the kitchen and the three comfortable bedrooms, all feature classic furnishings and a simple, beach style. Villa Pozzallo is about 100 sq. meters and comfortably sleeps six guests. The home consists of one level offering a comfortable living room with fireplace and single sofa bed, a large well-equipped kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee maker, all utensils) with pantry, a guest bathroom with toilet and a bathroom with shower, and three bedrooms. The spacious veranda is furnished with comfortable patio furniture and table and chairs with seating for six.
The nearby town of Modica is a harmony of churches, palaces and buildings of the eighteenth century (all built according to the baroque style) overlooking narrow, tiny streets, squares, and stage-stairways. Saint George’s Cathedral (a UNESCO heritage site) is an extraordinary example of this Baroque architecture. As is the nearby Polara Palace. Both are worth visiting. Also worth seeking out in Modica are its famous chocolate products, hand-crafted with old world precision and methods. When this chocolate is infused with vanilla, cinnamon or hot pepper, it becomes an irresistible temptation. The city offers grand, stately monuments but, at the same time, has a lot of heart and soul, due in part to its lively marina and beaches. By day the Marina di Modica is a swimming, surfing and windsurfing mecca, and by night, a playground full of pubs, discos and restaurants.
