Lago Mezzola Retreat is located north of Lake Como on Lake Mezzola. The villa is on 5 acres of wooded land. This private park is fully fenced and located directly on the lake. Lago Mezzola Retreat itself is about 180 m2 and is suitable for 6 guests with its three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has recently been refurbished and the owners have taken every detail into consideration in order to make this a wonderful place for a holiday. This is the perfect retreat to get away from the hustle and bustle and truly enjoy nature and the beauty of Lake Como whether it\'s for skiing at Engadin in the winter or enjoying the lake in the summer.
Lago Mezzola Retreat has a spacious living room area with contemporary furnishings. For your entertainment, there is a computer with satellite TV, DVD player, radio and internet connection. It is also possible to use the home theater with 4 meter screens with surround sound stereo.
The kitchen is fully equipped with Leicht and Siemen appliances. Great care has been taken in selecting all of the cutlery and dishes as well as the cooking utensils. There is also a separate laundry room with washer and dryer.
The first and second bedrooms both have king size beds. The third bedroom has two twin beds. All of the bedrooms have built in cabinets for plenty of storage area. These three bedrooms share two bathrooms. The first bathroom has a rain water shower and two sinks and the second has a shower and tub with two sinks. All of the bedrooms and main living areas have a view of the lake and garden.
The entire house is heated through radiant heat in the granite floors. Each room can be regulated separately.
Guests will appreciate their own private beach on the lake and the hammocks that are strung up in the garden. There are two terraces outside where meals can be eaten. One is covered and the other is not. There is also a small row boat, bicycles and of course a boccia court.
There is train service all around the lakes. Trains come from Switzerland, the Novate Mezzola station is about 600 meters away from the villa and guests can catch trains to Como, Milan, etc. as well as the smaller villages around the lake.
The closest villages are Colico or Chiavenna. Both are about 10 to 15 km away and are nice for a little shopping and some ice cream. The closest city is Lecco, about half an hour away by car. You can also use the boat that leaves from Colico to get there. Then, of course, Como, which takes you about 1 hour by car.Lugano Switzerland is only 45 minutes away and has some wonderful boutiques.
Your everyday needs (groceries, pharmacy etc) can be fulfilled in Novate Mezzola, you can even walk to a small convenience store. A supermarket is about 800 m. from the house.
