Follow the narrow winding road from the square and you will reach the welcoming doors of lovely Villa Joyce to rent. The Villa is situated on a hilltop overlooking the vineyards and quant village of Megalochori, with the sparkling Aegean in the distance.

Enter into the courtyard, which is hand-laid by a local craftsman in the traditional \'Plakoto\' - paved with cobblestones - style. This Villa affords two separate living areas, which are connected by an outside stone flight of stairs. Combined this Villa can accommodate up to six guests. Villa Joyce provides a perfect base for those wanting to experience the many rhythms of the island.

Included in the price are: Taxes, one car rental (w/unlimited mileage), two hour daily housekeeping, Concierge service and complementary cell phone.

Upon request at additional charge: Private chef, grocery shopping and delivery, private masseuse, private tour guide and boat charter.

Note: a small pool has been added in the courtyard in 2009.

On the ground floor a barn door leads you into a compact fully equipped kitchen (oven plate, fridge/freezer, coffee maker and kettle). An archway leads you into the magnificent master bedroom with domed ceiling. The extravagant en-suite bathroom features a large Jacuzzi and separate shower. The intimate dining room leads into the traditionally styled living area, with barn doors leading out into the courtyard. Original wooden doors lead into the comfortable second double bedroom, also ensuite.

The first floor of this Villa offers a large, furnished terrace, perfect for outside dining, with panoramic views of the surrounding area. The original wooden floor has been restored and the many windows allow for a bright and airy feel to the interior. The comfortable double bedroom boasts views overlooking the vineyards to one side and the sparkling Aegean to the other. A dressing room leads into the spacious bathroom with separate restroom. The cleverly designed open-plan kitchen and well appointed living area allows for casual entertaining.

Peace, tranquility and by-gone days best describe one of the few traditional settlements on the island. Situated six miles from Fira, Megalochori is within easy reach of Akrotiri and many beaches on the island. Today Megalochori has a lively community with a fairly large number of permanent residents, adding to the local flavour and charm.
Megalochori presents a multitude of faces, with narrow roads begging to be explored. Three of the island\'s largest wineries are located here, with excellent tavernas located in the village.

We just completed a three day stay with our family of 4 at this amazing villa in Megalochori. The villa is large and very accommodating. Everyone had their own separate rooms with own room key. The villa is safe. It rests outside of all of the crowded touristy areas of Santorini but still close (15m) drive to Fira and the sandy beaches of the island. Jackie met us at check in and was very sweet and offered welcoming information. The car rental that comes with the property is a plus. They were able to drop it off so that we didn’t have to worry about picking it up and then we just left it in the parking lot and they were going to retrieve it later which was very helpful . She recommended an evening catamaran tour to see the sunset and we took full advantage of her recommendation and had an amazing time. She also arranged our transfer down to the port when we were leaving which offered us peace of mind because we heard it can be difficult that time of day. The villa had daily cleaning service and offered amenities like food delivery that likened hotel room service. We did not need to take advantage of that however because right outside the Villa steps are three lovely restaurants . We spent most of our mornings at a lovely little terraced restaurant named Raki sipping lattes and eating breakfast. This villa is a find! And Megalochori is very charming. We highly recommend this charming villa for your next vacation.

My husband and 12 year-old son loved the outdoor space at the Villa. So many unique sitting areas. The rock wall and patio floor are classic old world.The proximity to restaurants within a minute walk was more than we could have imagined. The local people are the best!There is not a designated kitchen space, but we had no interest in cooking at home. They do have an espresso/coffee maker, two burners and small fridge.The showers were huge and towels top quality. Beds were comfortable.The concierge service was impeccable with transports to and from ports and airports. The Sonos speaker set up with the fully loaded playlists was a hit. Thank you.The village if Megalochori is a must. Highly recommend.

The villa is large, well equipped and very traditional. Each of the three large living areas has its own charm and character. There\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s loads of outside space with 3 separate areas and a pool.Another plus is the location. It\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s literally 3 minutes walk from a lovely traditional quiet village with a good choice of tavernas and a small mini Market.Our contact Jackie was friendly and helpful and gave us a detailed but warm reception. She was also very efficient in ordering taxis.The hire car provided was well specified and eminently suited for the roads.

Wake up to the sound of the village bells and birds chirping! Don’t miss out on staying at the amazing villa. Takis and Jackie were excellent communicators and made sure every detail was superbly thought out. The villa provided stunning views and perfect accommodations for our family. We travelled with friends and had them stay at the other villa in town. I honestly can say that this experience was 5 stars and I can’t wait to return. Thank you!!!
