Mas Silk can be reached by a private road bordered with cypress and oak trees.
At the center of a vineyard – AOC classed – and beside its spacious lawns shaded by 100-year old cedars, pines and oaks, Mas Silk, an ancient silk worm farm from the XVIII century, enjoys uninterrupted views over the Luberon mountains.
Hidden in the English-style garden are some stone steps linking the south terrace to a large, alarmed pool, built to resemble a Provencal lake, and an old stone hut housing the sun beds and mattresses for the pool.
The house has kept its Provencal character, stone floors, ancient ceilings and plastered fireplace.
Upon entering through the southern terrace is the dining room with its antique furnishings and the living room which houses wifi and many English books. This area leads into the well-equipped kitchen and rear pantry. Both the bathroom and the toilet have windows opening onto the vines.
At the top of the staircase, a landing separates the large bedrooms.
The first bedroom is furnished in Art Deco style and has a 1m60 bed and south facing windows.
The second bedroom has high Provencal ceilings, a 1.40m bed with French door offering a view over the garden at sunrise.
The third bedroom is in the mezzanine and has two twin beds.
A bathroom with shower and toilet overlooks the hills.
You can reach the totally independent “blue” room by an external stone staircase. This room has a 1m40 bed.
