Artist's Haven is a three bedroom, three-story apartment with mezzanine levels. It features high ceilings with exposed beams, tall windows, antique French oak floors, wrought iron details and an interior layout as surprising and complex as Picassoís finest work. The apartment is located in a listed 17th century building, which has a particularly exquisite staircase.
With exceptional height and two large windows, the main salon, located on the entry level, features multiple original artworks as well as a spacious seating area. The salonís focal point is a large antique tapestry, and this is paired with other unique art pieces both modern and classic. The room also offers a decorative fireplace, large area rugs, comfortable couch, and antique furnishings. Just above the salon, in a lofted area, you will find a quiet sitting area overlooking the main room. The sofa here can convert to a bed for a single guest.
Sharing the first level with the salon are the fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, one of the three bedrooms, and a WC with washbasin.
With seating for six, the marble dining table sits before a double window and is also lit by a contemporary chandelier. Separated from the dining area by a tall bar, the kitchen is fully equipped and features tile floors, a lovely curio shelf with antique items, and lots of cabinet and counter space.
The bedroom on this level has two single beds that can also be converted to a king-size bed. This room features a floor-to-ceiling window, writing desk, flat screen television, large area rugs, and stairs up to a mezzanine level. This mezzanine has a childís single bed and can be observed from below.
On your way up to the second level, also at the mezzanine level, you will find a bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC, all styled in contemporary fashion and blue tiles. On the upper level, a bedroom with a queen-size bed can be found. This room has wooden ceiling beams, storage space, and a workstation.
Accessed through the main salon, the lowest level of the apartment houses the master bedroom. With queen-size bed, antique rugs, and modern art, this room is well styled and comfortable. Just below this bedroom you will find the gym and a bathroom. This bathroom is tiled in white and black and offers a bathtub, shower, and washbasin. There is also a separate WC at this level for added privacy.
The size and layout of this charming apartment makes it a perfect choice for a family or friends traveling together.
Please note that on the mezzanine level ceiling height can be lower so very tall people will want to stay in the ground floor bedroom. This apartment also has several winding staircases so this might not be an ideal apartment for small children, elderly and people with walking difficulties.
The Marais is one of the most ancient and picturesque parts of Paris, characterized by its unique 17th century buildings and elegant stores and restaurants. Apartment Saint Paul is the ideal place to call home while in Paris, especially if you are traveling with your teenagers. The multi-level apartment has plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen, which allowed us to have breakfast together and plan each day of sight-seeing. This was so much cozier and relaxing for our family than a hotel. Keep in mind that this is a very old 17th century building, so expect some quirkiness -- that was part of the charm for us. The neighborhood has cafes, fine dining, boutiques, museums, markets; plenty of things nearby to explore. Patrick from the Paris for Rent office was so helpful and professional, and promptly answered all of our questions as we planned our trip. Our local contact, Eleanor, was waiting for us at the apartment on the day we arrived. She showed us around the apartment to make sure we were comfortable with how everything worked. A superb experience all around!
Great location, close to trendy shops and wonderful restaurants. Most tourist attractions and museums are in walking distance and a few metro stops are close to apartment as well. Spacious apartment, well equipped kitchen, and comfortable furniture. Easy booking, check in, and check out processes. Would definitely stay here again.
We had five adults on this trip and the apartment was perfect for our
group. The apartment had every appliance large and small that could be
needed, in addition to a large supply of linens. The washer and dryer
allowed us to pack less and do laundry as needed. The kitchen was
spacious and very well equipped. The bedrooms were also very spacious.
I have nothing negative to say about the accomdations. Frederic was
extremely helpful even when I made the mistake of calling him after
hours. The location was wonderful, close to the St. Paul metro station
on the # 1 line. The grocery store was just around the corner and we
found many excellent cafes close by. The street was quiet at night, and
everyone we ran into in the neighborhood was pleasant.
Very good communications and transition from airport to apartment and back to CDG airport. Old building suitably modernized to preserve the charm of the existing structure. Very comfortable and easy to use as a base to get out and enjoy Paris.
