The building has an elevator, air-conditioning, WI-FI internet access, shared rooftop terrace, and central heating. The apartment still has the 100 plus years old mosaic floors (a different design in every room) and the original woodwork on the windows and doors. This apartment is on the same floor as Apartment Barcelona II. The building has several conveniences nearby. The subway station of Verdaguer is 200 meters away (this station is both on the yellow and blue subway lines). The center of the city, Plaza Catalunya is only 3 stops away, the Old Cathedral, Gothic Quarter and the Picasso Museum are 4 stops away, while the beaches are 5 stops away. Also Casa Batllo is just a short walk of 800 meters away and the Market of the Concepcio, which is 115 years old, is 200 yards away from the apartment (you can get groceries there, although you also have many other choices in the neighborhood). If you would like to take a day trip you can rent a car for a day or two and keep it in a guarded parking garage very close to the apartment. They charge about 19 EUR per day in a parking garage very close to Valencia Street apartments. There is another parking garage near Portal Nou apartments that charge 21 EUR per day.
Apartment Barcelona VIII is reached by elevator on the 5th floor, right across from Apartment Barcelona II. The building has an elevator, air-conditioning, WI-FI internet access, shared rooftop terrace, and central heating. The living areas in this apartment are a little larger than the other apartments in this building. The living room area has a sofa, chair, fireplace, stereo, TV, and DVD player. The separate dining area has a table that seats 4 to 6 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and washing machine with dryer. The first bedroom has a Queen bed. The second bedroom has one single bed. The sofa is also able to sleep 2 guests. The bathroom has a shower, sink, and toilet. Also provided are an iron and ironing board, hair-dryer, bed linen, and towels. A one time cleaning is included with a 7 day stay.
