The apartment is Located in a prestigious 17th century palazzo near the Arno River, this elegant apartment is in the very heart of Florence and a moment away from the most important monuments. The apartment blends 17th century splendor with a central location. The Duomo Cathedral, one of the city’s most famous landmarks, is just 600 meters away. The romantic Ponte Vecchio (“old bridge”), designer shops, art galleries, and museums are all within 1 km. Palazzo Ponte is located in the old city center of Florence, where all the major attractions are located. This area is no more than 1.5 km across: everything is within walking distance. The décor of the interior has been executed in the traditional Florentine style and the rooms are furnished with particular elegance. The original frescoes that colour the ceilings and blend perfectly with colours, materials and fabrics make the apartment unique in its style. The apartment is on the second floor (approx 80 steps), with no elevator. The apartment has air-conditioning (internal units in the bedrooms), Internet high speed access (wired and wireless), a safe, phone (local calls only). This apartment dates back to the 17th century and presents a beautiful fresco of the late 14th century of a Madonna and Child attributed to Lippo di Benivieni. The awkward shape of the fresco is maybe due to the fact that the Palazzo was restored in the 17th century and most of the original fresco was lost.

Apartment Ponte is located on the second floor (third floor American with approx 80 steps, no elevator). It is 200 square meters with air-conditioning (internal units in the bedrooms), Internet high speed access (wired and wireless), and a safe. The front door opens directly opposite the doorway to the first bedroom that has 2 twin beds. To the left of the entrance you enter the hallway. The first right down the hallway opens to the first bedroom with a Queen sized bed and an en suite bathroom. At the end of the hallway on the right is a second bathroom. Directly at the end of the hallway is the kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and a dining table. Inside the kitchen and on the right is a doorway to the third bedroom also with a Queen-sized bed. Back at the end of the hallway and on the left you continue to the living room at the end. The living room has comfortable sofas and chairs, a TV, and DVD player. Just before the living room on your right is the fourth bedroom with a study and Queen-sized bed. To the left of the entrance to the living room and down the hall is the third bathroom located on the left side of the hallway. Back into the living room along the left wall is the final and fifth bedroom with another Queen-sized bed. Along the right wall of the living room is another entrance to the fourth bedroom with study that has frescos that dates back to the 17th Century with frescos of the late 14th Century of a Madonna and Child attributed to Lippo di Benivieni. The apartment has a direct dial line for local calls, a washer/dryer, and cradle or crib on request at no charge. Houskeeping and babysitting are also available upon request at an extra charge.
