This charming property is a village house located in the lively village of Cadenet on the south flanks of the Luberon Hill. Cadenet gives you an authentic slice of Provence village life because this is a village that is vibrant and active all year round. Market day is Monday.
The house provides wide, sweeping views to the south over the open countryside, including the Alps, Montagne Sainte Victoire, and les Alpilles. Located south of the Luberon, the home is close to Aix-en-Provence, the sea, and the French Riviera. It's central location also allows you to easily discover Provence as well. The famous village of Lourmarin is only three km away (Market day: Friday)
All of the living space of Maison Luberon is on the top floor, so there is a lot of light, and everything faces out to the view. From a grand staircase you arrive onto a large terrace, which is partly covered over with a beamed ceiling, offering a grandiose feeling of freedom. The terrace is furnished with a bar, pool table, and a fountain with Moorish twist. The dining area is next to this space with a large and long window offering views over the countryside.
At the front of the house is a balcony with views to the south. To the left is the famous Montagne Sainte-Victoire, which tells you that you are not far from the great city of Aix-en-Provence, with its arts scene, festivals, wonderful shops, markets and restaurants. This balcony provides a lovely place to catch the heat of the sun during cooler months, and also offers respite from the Mistral; the strong winds that can be quite daunting, but often clears up the sky providing beautiful, sunny days all year round.
Meal preparation is available upon request. For stays over a week there is a change of bed linen and towels. During the cooler months (October to May), there is an additional charge for heating. The owners prefer renting to families with older children.
Included in the rate: Bed linens, towels, utilities, high-speed Internet, laundry service, and final cleaning.
Inside Maison Luberon you will find an appealing and comfortable open plan, encompassing the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The living room has armchairs and comfortable sofa, and a working fireplace (firewood is included). Through an arch is the dining room, which also has a small TV with local channels (for satellite equipment, please inquire). There is a DVD player and hi-fi. Next to the dining room is the kitchen.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, 4-burner stove, dishwasher, coffee machine, electric kettle and toaster. There is all the crockery, cutlery, pots and pans you might need.
As the living accommodation is all in the upstairs of the house, the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the same level as the terrace and kitchen/living room.
The master bedroom opens up onto the balcony that runs the entire length of the upstairs. This balcony overlooks the Valley of the Durance and is a delightful place to entertain and enjoy meals. This charming bedroom offers a double bed, and a lovely view to the south. Its bathroom has twin basins, WC, and bathtub. Bedrooms two and three have two twin beds each, with both bedrooms offering direct access onto the terrace. Each of these bedrooms has a shower room with shower and basin, and there is a separate WC between them.
