Where do you want to go?
Villa Maxine is a lovely villa rental attractively situated in the Var region of Provence on top of a forested hill, which enjoys uninterrupted views across the charming and peaceful valley of “Engaspaty” to the hills beyond. The villa’s location guarantees exceptionally long hours of sunshine, from early morning to late evening. The wide terrace is comfortable and cool in summer, shaded by an original wooden superstructure amid leaves of vines and kiwis. The terrace is adjacent to the pool allowing oversight of the pool area. The villa’s interior is spacious and is arranged in three distinct suites, each of which have their own bathroom. This convenient setup is perfect for two families vacationing together.
Le Pin de Sace is located about four miles from the medieval village of Seillans, which has retained its centuries’ old character and offers a number of restaurants and art galleries. The villa is surrounded by more than a hectare of forested land, enabling children to safely explore and play to their heart’s content. To the right of the villa, beyond the pool, are the 1.2 hectare main grounds, which include typical Provencal stone walls and terraces. A previous owner planted five cypresses that have matured to form a striking and elegant row of trees. The ground can be safely and freely explored by guests and offers space for adventure and games – for all ages.
The wide terrace to the rear of the villa borders on the garden and the swimming pool. The swimming pool area has recently been renovated with beautiful, natural, Italian stone. The pool is now chlorine free. The enlarged area allows for lounge chairs and one couch.
Price includes: Local calls, linens and towels

The villa’s living room includes a fireplace and is light and spacious with large, French windows opening onto the outside terrace, allowing a view from within the living room to the valley of Engaspaty and the hills beyond. The room has been comfortably furnished with original paintings, a Provencal grandfather clock, new, large sofas and a large wooden dining table with dark brown, leather chairs. The kitchen is fitted with modern appliances, including a dishwasher, a gas stove, an oven, microwave, a fridge/freezer, plus utility room with washing machine, drying rack and ironing board.
The house can be divided into three distinct and separate areas – the left wing and the right wing, separated by the large living and ground floor area. The left wing sleeps four guests in two double bedrooms. They share a bathroom with bathtub/shower and toilet. The right wing sleeps five guests (one room includes a bunk bed plus a single bed, the other a queen bed and baby cot) and shares a bathroom with bathtub/shower and toilet. The ground floor area also has a double bedroom with bathroom (shower).
Seillans is a small "ville perché" (perched hill-top village) overlooking the plain between the southern Alps and the Esterel, which borders the sea between Cannes and Saint-Raphaël. The commune of Seillans covers the town and its rural catchment area. Seillans has a steeply-inclined medieval centre, accessible only on foot and a number of small squares and old buildings. It is the western-most of a line of such towns and villages (including Montauroux, Callian, Tourrettes and Fayence) that face south and attract tourists and each offer a variety of cultural pursuits. They are most striking when viewed from the plain below. Other local attractions include the nearby Lac St. Cassien.
Seillans is a popular destination for visitors, lured by the charming houses and scenery combined with the sunny climate and proximity to the Mediterranean. Seillans features a castle and delightful 13th century church at its summit. Nearby are rustic chapels, vineyards, forests and olive groves.
Seillans has an annual Pottery Market and many concerts and occasional events throughout the year, as well as the annual Musique-Cordiale "Festival Musiques en Liberté", a fortnight when the church, the village hall and outdoor venues resound to a variety of high quality classical, choral and jazz music from international artists each August, when the area is at its most popular.
