Located near the south-eastern corner of Italy's Emilia-Romagna region, Casa Elena claims a hilltop position amid the rolling green landscape bordering the Foresti Casentinesi-a national park extending southward into Tuscany. In fact, this property was at one time part of Tuscany! Casa Elena is a classical country house overlooking the village of Tredozio (2.5 km).
Tredozio, deliciously quiet, is just a 10 minute drive from Casa Elena, and home to a number of inviting restaurants-particularly the Mulino di San Michele, which resides in an old mill - as well as the conveniences of a grocery, bakery, bar and bus station.
Casa Elena is a classical country house now set up as two separate, fully-equipped apartments with swimming-pool (10x5 mt, depth 1,20/1,90 mt), as well as a separate, fully self-contained apartment in the old private Chapel, dating back to the 1700's.
With a total of 14 beds, each unit containing its own kitchen, living /dining and bedroom spaces, Casa Elena s is an ideal property for a large group to share.

Casa Elena Up: sleeps 6 + 2
The first floor apartment has a large living room with fireplace, a separate dining room and a fully equipped kitchen (oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, microwave). Also there are one double bedroom with en suite bathroom with bathtub, one twin bedroom (the beds can not be put together), one bathroom with bathtub, two mezzanine floors with twin-bed sleeping areas, a den and a utility room with washing machine. Summer suppers can be prepared in the outdoor pizza oven.
Satellite Tv and DVD. Cell phone available. Stereo with CD Player and radio. Pool towels are included.

Elena Down: sleeps 6
Located on the ground floor this lovely apartment consists of a nice living room with fireplace, and a kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge and freezer.
There are also three double bedrooms. One double bedroom with bathroom with bathtub, and two twin bedrooms (the beds can not be put together) sharing one bathroom with bathtub. The twin bedded rooms have also access to the garden.
Satellite Tv & DVD. Stereo with CD Player and radio. Regular phone is available. Pool towels are included.

Chapel: sleeps 2
Furthermore, there is an adjoining chapel (carved in the wall is the date 1733) converted into a self-contained home for two persons. There is a double bed on a loft, a bathroom with shower. A small kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer, washing machine and Satellite TV. Cell phone is available. Stereo with CD Player and radio. VCR.

The Swimming Pool is available for use may 10-th- September 27th.Pool towels are included.
Catered dinners and cooking classes are available on request; please enquire.

THE AREA
Benefiting from a long history of prosperity, Emilia-Romagna is imbued with the spirit of fine living and boasts many exceptional Renaissance palaces and a particularly rich culinary heritage (lasagna, tortellini, Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar are just a few of many delicious regional innovations). A number of enjoyable excursions are easily undertaken from Casa Elenra. Faenza, with its world-famous Ceramics Museum and production house, is about 30 km away, and the splendid medieval fortress at Brisighella-focus of an annual medieval festival-is half as far. A drive of 50 km toward the Adriatic finds one in Ravenna, in the presence of the world's finest Byzantine mosaics outside of Istanbul. The distinguished city of Bologna 75 km northwest of Tredozio, offers a delightful urban experience and, remarkably, the Tuscan capital of Florence is almost as close.
