New Year's Greetings from all of us to you!

We would like to introduce the first issue of our monthly newsletter. Each month we will share our thoughts and ideas for traveling and present some of our latest villas and apartments. 2002 has been a better year than we expected and I am very optimistic that 2003 will be a wonderful year for travel. Airfares are low and we have just added to our site some wonderful new and affordable properties so that your family and friends can immerse yourselves in the local culture. So, make your plans today and we will take care of the rest!

I made myself a snowball,
As perfect as could be.
I thought I'd keep it as a pet,
And let it sleep with me.
I made it some pajamas,
And a pillow for its head.
Then last night it ran away,
But first - it wet the bed.
This is a large independent property that has been recently renovated with careful consideration to retain all the original characteristics of a traditional Tuscan farmhouse. There are stunning panoramic views of the surrounding wooded hillsides and the medieval village towers in the distance.

The property affords a very private and tranquil setting with its natural beauty and the silence of the countryside. The pool is an unusual irregular shape located in the garden, and there is plenty of room in the front of the house for dining on the terrace which is equipped with table and chairs and shade umbrella.

It's still important for us to travel, especially since 9/11! Yes, the world changed on that day, but travel is an important freedom that gives us lifelong memories and gets us away from the constant reminders and fear at home. Europeans welcome us, and right now you'll find the attractions about half as crowded which makes them all the more delightful.

Only 6 days after the New York tragedy my husband and I flew to Europe to preview properties and meet with owners. We found the airport lines longer with the extra security, but not all that inconvenient. Everything in France and Italy was geared towards supporting us as we reeled from the attack, and public displays of American flags and photographs were everywhere. We traveled there again this summer and found it just as friendly and delightful. As Rick Steves says, "Here we are among friends. Europe is ready and waiting with its most heartfelt welcome ever!"

4 oz crustless coarse bread
1 cup milk
10 oz peeled plum tomatoes
18 large cabbage leaves
10 oz sweet Italian sausage
1/2 c grated parmesan cheese
1 egg
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

In a bowl, soak the bread in the milk for 10 minutes. Drain and squeeze out any excess moisture and set aside. Put the tomatoes through a food mill and set aside. Bring a large pan of salted water to a rolling boil and blanch the cabbage leaves for about 30 seconds, a few at a time, drain and set aside. In a mixing bowl combine the Parmesan, egg and bread, blending well.

Divide the sausage mixture evenly among the cabbage leaves, placing a mound about a third of the way from the stalk end of the leaf. Fold in the sides and then roll to enclose the mixture completely. Secure with kitchen twine and place side by side in a heavy pot on the stove. Sprinkle olive oil over the rolls and cook over moderate heat for 5 minutes, turning carefully to brown. Pour tomatoes over and cook another 15 minutes. Season with salt. Arrange on a warm platter and serve hot.
"This was a great rental! We had great privacy in the country. The pool was huge! Our kids loved it."
